Assessment of spatial plans and concepts

We offer:

  • preparation of a concept assessment on environment by the authorized person according to the Act no. 100/2001 Coll.
  • cooperation with concept processors during its preparation to ensure its continuous improvement and to prevent potential conflicts during its approval
  • consideration of a concept draft and its assessment with the concerned authorities and the public
  • assessment of an impact on locations of NATURA 2000 (the European significant locations and bird areas according to the § 45 of the Act no. 114/1992 Coll.)
  • ensuring of an assessment of impacts related to a sustainable territorial development

The strategic assessment of impacts on the environment known as SEA (Strategic Environmental Assessment) is an important tool to consider and assess potential impacts of an implementation of upcoming plans, programs and concepts on the environmental quality.

Concepts include concepts, plans and programs that are processed in the fields of agriculture, forestry, hunting, fishing, management of surface or underground water, energetics, industry, transport, waste management, telecommunication, tourism, spatial planning (municipal spatial plans, large spatial unit), regional development (principles of territorial development), environment and also concepts co-financed from the European Union funds.


Purpose of SEA assessment:

  • determine the limits and restrictive conditions or compensatory measures.
  • enable to consider possible solutions and apply the basic principles of the environmental protection (preventive principle, precaution) in the early stages of decision making.
  • evaluation team is involved in the work of team preparing the plan, program, concept, politics to achieve a factual elimination of potential negative implications of their implementation connected with reduce financial and time demands of concept maker.

All environmental components (an impact on air quality, climate, water, soil, rock environment, natural resources, fauna, flora, ecosystems, landscape, cultural monuments, public health, etc.) are assessed comprehensively.
The evaluation of impacts of a spatial plan, principles of territorial development, and politics of territorial development are governed by the Building Act and it includes the evaluation of impacts on a sustainable territorial development.
